RAISING OUR ANIMALS
We abide by organic regulations and standards, which require 100% organic feed, no hormones or antibiotics, etc. and we give our livestock plenty of access to outdoors. When our fields are too wet, during part of the winter, we do keep the cows off the pasture.
Our steers are also raised on grass and there is no grain-finishing either. We raise most of our own feed, putting up hay and silage for the winter.
Our pigs are pastured in the summer as well.
We think our animals have a good life here. We invite you to visit and judge for yourself.
RETAIL SHOP & TASTING ROOM
Our retail shop is open seven days a week. Monday through Saturday we are open 10-4; Sundays 12-4. We are closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Our retail shop offers the greatest variety and selection of our products currently available, and guests are invited to taste various cheeses and learn more about our process.
Additionally, if you know you are coming by the shop and want to purchase a large quantity of cheese and/or meat, or just want to get your products as quickly as possible, customers always have the option of calling or emailing ahead of time to place an order for pickup. Time permitting, we will prepare your order so that when you arrive, all you need to do is pay and pick it up!
